Hi

For all those Queensland sailors...Noosa is in mourning over April, as we mourn the loss of one of our legend sailors, Ian Clements.

Ian unfortunately died in an unexplainable Motorbike accident a few weeks ago, while driving between his home at Noosa and the Borren Point Motel - (windsurfers haven on Lake Cootharaba) which he was managing with Brian, another Windsurfer.

His funeral was livened by the Beach Boys playing all his favourite tunes and the wake was a memorable one.

Ian always looked over my shoulder when surfing Seabreeze on our Winda Woppa trips and in Fiji and was always curious at what was happening...so i'm sure he'll keep doing that from where he's cruising now...

Happy memories Ian, and long live the Beach Boys!

Rgds

Hi Warren,

I think everyone that remembers Ian from the Winda Woppa trips will be saddened by this news.

Ian was always the one you could count on to help you drag your gear from the beach. He was always the last one to be out on the water if there was even a sniff of a breeze, even if he had to sail a one-design to do it.

He and his dry sense of humour will be missed.

Dale.

Hi Guys

Yep...all Sailboarding Safari Clients will remember Ian well....he has been a Season Pass Holder for our Winda Woppa trips for the last 3 years, coming on all the trips and has been to Fiji with us for the last 4 years, staying from 3-4 weeks every year!

His sense of humour will be very sorely missed and we will hold open his 4 week booking for Fiji this year and have a special day in Fiji this year on his regular time slot in memory!

Ian the gentleman...lives on! He was always so proud wearing his Safari "legend" T-Shirt...how apt!

maybe heaven will make him use a smaller board.

I will always remember him crackin it in fiji when I pinched the nova for another customer, plus a quiet conversation with Lisa Ian and I sitting chest deep in warm flat water, in the rain off Nanu-i-ra.

life like that.
best winds Ian.
