Is an 11m to close to a 10m as a second Race sail for Formula ? Is a 11.5-11.8 a better complement ?

Hi Windswept , How big are you ?, what board ?, are you going to race ? what masts / booms do you have ?
All factors in deciding what sail size .
If you are lightwind cruising an 11.0 is most likely ample . Racing , you may need bigger depending on your size .
Do you want to buy a new mast and boom ? Depending on what you already own , an 11.5 or bigger may require new hardware?
If you give us a bit more info I am sure you will get some sound advice .

I have a NP RS5 10.7 and a Gaastra Vapor 9.5 - there appears to be about a 1-2 knot difference in favour of the NP (when the wind is light).

I weigh about 85kg, have a 530cm mast and a HPL boom cover up to 12's. Looking to do racing.

From memory, my NP 11.6 RS5 needs a 595cm mast. The 530 may be a little light on for length to do a big race sail. Also the need for an IMCS of 37 means putting a big extension into a shorter mast will result in too soft a mast. Sorry
