Lads (and Ladies),
I'm heading up to Newcastle for a long weekend of golf with some lads but happen to have Friday, Saturday & Sunday arvo free for some windsurfing. So who sails up there and where should i sail in a NE on Friday (if it builds) and sunday which will no doubt be very windy?
I know it's a long way off and the forecast will change but I do like to hope (and plan things well in advance!).

hey ben.
if theres a nor easter on friday sail coal point for flat water, or nobbys for waves. on sunday valentine is pretty good, or come round to our house and sail out the front.
give us a ring when you get up if you want.
where you staying & playing golf?

Horizons, hope you have many balls as there is one hole you WILL loose a ball or two.
Charlestown golf club is also good.

I have just bought 24 more golf balls - so hopefully enough!!! I like my golf, but prefer the social part to it, but ultimately windsurf tops it all! Friday arvo and sunday are looking pretty good!

Crash
From memory its the eight....
this if from the Horizons site

A deceiving hole...the bunker in front is 10 metres short of the putting surface, the green has two relatively flat-tiers. Don't be left - don't be right - don't be long. If you hit to the left of the red pole take a point of entry drop, hit right of the pole and a reload is your best option.
Dangers: lateral hazard right and behind.

10 metres in front? glad i knew that!
So my other question about Newcastle is "night time" activities...
Who knows where a good "gentlemans live entertainment venue" is in Newcastle? There's 10 lads heading up that way if you catch my drift...
I reckon Rosey knows a couple of good places!

fri, nobbys or birdie beach will be the go. Sometimes birdie can have stronger wind so check the norah head graph for wind strength.
Blacksmiths beach could be ok on sun if wind is S or SE.

NE wind is side shore and it gets swell better than anywhere but you need low tide. The wind can be alot stronger than nobbys on its day, if the norah head graph is better than nobbys and low tide isnt far away a few of us aways go there.

Ive been sailing Dixon Park.. or the channel because of the all the tea bags at Nobbies. Not because I hate them. Its more those marginal plaining days. When the kites are flying past. And I'm dredging.
I get frustrated cos they are plaining and I'm not.
Thus I sail other places.
Hey, while I'm here does anyone want to swap a Naish 8'7" for a more floaty board. My board is telling me I'm putting on weight.
