Hi there,
The metal cleat in my old X9 boom lever is corroded. Does anyone know if you can still buy the lever as a spare part (used or new). I'm getting tired of tying knots.
cheers
Brett

Call WsP in WA. Reg might have one. Ask if other wand will work, like X3. Might be another option.

Try re-filing the jaws(?) of the cleat so they are sharp again. May need to go to larger diameter rope. I've done that with my NP clamp.

Good luck buying spare parts with the complexity of those NP booms.

I bought a bunch of NP boom head parts from all over the world to retrofit onto my existing boom .. researched for hours, studied all the years and models, found amazing dealer pdf spare part catalogues .. finally received all the parts from various suppliers .. even with duplicate parts for the same piece they still didn't fit together correctly.

SHQ in Vic might also have one. They supplied me one about six months ago.

Windsurf/kite shop in Caloundra had them while back - I bought 2 and they worked well.

SHQ have them, I purchased one 2 weeks ago for 2009 carbon boom
COST WAS $10+post
Reg at WINDSURFING PERTH has them listed too @ $30
BTW, the same lever works on my NP 2009 as works on 2019 booms
In other words the part fits all their booms

Also , you can knock out the cleat and put in a new one. There is a little hole behind it to punch it out . I believe any NP lever with a metal cleat is the same . Better check on that.

Once you find a way to "store" the knot, around where the cleat was, then you won't need to do anything. What makes you do the knots many times?

Thanks everyone for the help. I'll try a few of those places.

Cheers
