Robby Naish has been in town for the annual AWSI trade show in the Gorge. Interesting to hear his comments about windsurfing, especially with the foiling and winging going on here.

Robby: "I still windsurf a lot, windsurfing is now exclusive again, kind of the size when I started, so that's fine I still love it. If you still want to windsurf, windsurfing is still the best sport ever, there's no reason to switch.". He's 62 and still ripping, there's hope for us old guys!

If I lived on Maui I doubt I'd ever foil.

Yet Robby seems to be on his wing foil kit a lot. Think that makes sense in lighter winds.

Strong wind doesn't always line up with days off work... even on Maui. That said I think Wing foiling makes more sense in Maui with the consistent swells they get.

That's probably the best thing about foiling. I gives you an option even on the days were it's not super windy or when there is only wind swell.
