SUP is certainly a good back up, both early in the day and if the breeze doesn't quite come in.
We have 4 x Starboard SUPer12'6" (retractable centre board, a bit like a W/S one design) which we use in case of light / no wind.
Hoping we won't use them, but at least the guys can still get out if conditions turn bad. Hopefully we will get the conditions at South Beach tomorrow that we had when you were over a few years ago.

Heat 5 will be remembered for a couple of reasons.
1 - Hot and Windy.
2 - A ton of racing - 2 x Formula and 16 x Slalom rounds.
3 - Sam Parker (AUS-3) giving everyone a lesson in Slalom racing, winning 13 of 16 rounds.
Results etc will be posted soon....
www.windsurfnsnow.com.au had a SUP demo at the event on the weekend and I can't remember seeing any of them sitting on the beach....Very popular with everyone....
