Why do longboards/longboarders always get written off by shortboarders, I am sick of getting hassled. What has caused this great divide? Is it ignorance? Why is it? and why can't Seabreeze have a longboards section? or even a some longboard info?

There already is a longboard forum based in AUS:

Or have a look at the journal.

So many existential questions, my friend... In them's part, the snobbishness is directed at anyone sailing in lesser conditions, whether lighter winds than them, longboards, beginners. Worse is: they can't do dick themselves when it picks up and they deign going out. That's inland ****er sailors for ya.

I don't get hassled though - I freestyle on both short and longboards, and rub it in their face whenever I can. All in good jest.

So what's the problem again? Are you really getting hassled??

Who is hassling you? I don't think I have ever seen a windsurfer hassling another windsurfer in Australia about their gear, unless it was in jest.

If I had the space to store a wally I would get one.

A bit dramatic I admit, should have relaxed before posting.

Perhaps he meant heckled? Hustled?

Were you wearing shorts over wetsuit?

It's jealousy.

Yours is bigger than theirs.

If you're sick of being hassled don't park your jetty sideways across the beach stopping people getting to the water

I get pished off by longboarders purely because they catch loads more waves than I do when I'm on my shortboard. They don't share and they paddle out so quickly that I might as well head in.

I think Longboarders will soon get pished off with SUPers because they're catching waves even further out!

As for windsurfing - no idea why there's an isssue!
