If the wind is 'decent' then I'll give it a go :)

CANCELLED!!

Lack of wind has been cited, which is bizarre given that this is the forecast;

Sunday: SE winds 10/15 knots shifting S/SW 15/20 knots during the afternoon. Seas 1.0m to 1.5m. Swell to 2.0m.
Swell at Cottesloe: to 0.6m.

Is there another date to be set?

I'm keen to have a crack anyway, if anyone wants to join in?

Yep. I'll be there 2.30 if there is breeze. If we can get a few together we can still have a good run down to Scabs

Hey AUS1111

Where did you hear it was cancelled? I can't see anything along those lines on the WWA website...

Geez lucky I stumbled across this forum today. Would have been very angry if I pulled up at Scabs and there was no free BBQ for me... It's a shame because I know a few guys who were really looking forward to it.

If its over 15 knots I'll have a go anyway.

As it turned out, for the small group of 10 or 12 who decided to do the run anyway, and at the risk of pissing of some of the sailors who didn't come along, PERFECT!!!!!

Fully cooked on the 7.5 running deep off the breeze and could have easily run down on the 6.6 with a liitle board. Nevermind...when's the next attempt?
