Hi All,

Just a warning for any windsurfers (or kite boarders for that matter) in Mackay QLD that there is a new hazard off Far Beach. Some genius has bogged a land cruiser about 400m off the northern end of the rock wall in front of the volley ball centre. Hopefully they will pull it out soon but in the mean time watch out for it.

errr.. landcruisers dont get bogged, they temporarily sink down to the axles in silt and dont move for a little while, thats all.

but i see what you mean maybe someone can run out there with some bright orrange floats and tie it to the ARTIFICIAL REEF just as a warning

just a thought

Cripes you guys have a decent walk at low tide to get to the water...

Come to think of it that's probably what the genius thought

Those photos were taken on an incoming tide at just after half tide. The longest walk back in I have done is about 2 km after sailing the tide out.

That's funny - ha ha ha...

You need to get yourself a landsailor for the hard sand, tie your board to your back and sail to the water

sailed the early outgoing tide, new board getting a feel for being back in the water, trashed my body, first sail in 6 months, gotta love the tides up here.bit different to the train.Hey haircut you still sailing currumbin? Wentback to check the incoming and saw these idiots sink the the 4x4. The tossers just stripped their gear out of it and left. whats with that?( morons). Its directly in line with the edge of the island if you line up with the square concrete slab on the beach. If you sail at far you will know what i'm talking about.Snow in Moranbah who'd have thought

I reported wreck to the council as illegal dumping.

Have got an email back saying they are arranging for a contractor to remove it from the beach.

Would really like to see how they are going to get it out.
