I heard a vicious (and hopefully true) rumour that Kiters are now banned from Lancelin main break - is this true?

That would be nice.I have'nt heard of this but there is a sign in the park that says no kite activites in park maybe this has been miss read

This has been on for at least two years, (search the kiters forums).

Basically they cant take off and land from the grassed area and directly out in front for about 50 (maybe 100) metres.

There's two reasons, 1 the kites are dangerous around people who are trying to enjoy the grass, as well as they block the sea search and rescue building.

2 Good ol Werner is trying to run a windsurf school there and doesn't need the tryhards pulling stunts and dropping kites in and around his learners. (Werner does get a bit carried away, but there are legitimate reasons)

The kiters can take off from either side of the grassed area and are certainly not banned from main break.
