G'day all, For all of of my fellow interstate and international windsurfers, This is Jimmy's Beach in beautiful Port Stephens, NSW/AUS. The wind in this movie starts off a bit light but no matter, I Brought along my fibreglass aircraft carrier and it freshens up a bit later on. The water at Jimmys is usually crystal clear and blue but due to our recent big wet it is a bit murky at the moment.

At about 8.00 minutes to 8.45 I appear to be gliding along in almost glassy water, it's a bit deceiving as I am picking little gusts off the shore that are carrying me along. You may notice I keep glancing over my shoulder to keep and eye on them. You can just make out the gusts on the right hand edge of the picture.

If you make it to the end of the movie you may hear me say "I'm really sorry". I am apologising to a couple of black shag birds I kept disturbing all day. I must have scared them off over 20 times by the end of the day. I was starting to feel like a bit of a eco terrorist.

Great vid Cluffy! What's the Superlightwind like? I was originally thinking of getting one for those light days, but decided against it as I have a habit of chop-hopping when I see a small ramp & I was told they damage easily. I ended up with an older Fanatic (shark).

I was also told that the JPs were a bit too formula-ish style? After having owned a JP Xcite 165lt a couple of years ago (that I miss), I'm keen to find (for my next board) a light-wind board that can handle some rough stuff also.

I haven't actually ridden a formula board but I think the JP SLW is a lot closer to a blown up super sport than a formula board. As for rough stuff and chop hopping, the JP glides over chop nicely but it's definately not a rough water board and even though it has a plywood deck I wont be jumping mine anytime soon lol. Perhaps a high volume freerace board is what you need?

My gps arrived monday afternoon while I was at Jimmy's and I snuck out before work this afternoon to give it a quick run. It was a really gusty 0 to 20 knot northerly and I just scraped in 24 knots on one run. Planing around I was sitting on 20 to 22. I can't wait to give the gps a run this friday!

I have never sailed at hawks nest but I will get up there next season. Looks like a good place for a blast. Bye the way I enjoyed your movie Pic.
