Because the cars are so expensive, the accident has to be bad enough that they dont repair it... It has to be a statutory write off, which is normally a case of 'stolen and set on fire', or water damage..

The other thing is that jetskiing is quite boring after a while so you need to do silly things like this to get a bit of excitement back into it.
