-if you bring your gear as "accompanied baggage" (i.e. check it in on the flight with which you're coming over) you'll generally be fine (apart from excess luggage fees by the airlines of course!)
-if you're shipping it cargo ("unaccompanied") you might be asked to prove that you "both owned and used" your kit overseas for 12 months or more when you clear customs
