Good gracious me. Those photos of the windsurfer look like they are taken from Hurst Castle if I am not very much mistaken - because that appears to be my brother who will have launched from the Isle of Wight three kms away from the mainland across the Solent. What a coincidence to be sitting here in Melbourne and see that. The Isle of Wight is one of the best pommie windsurfing locations. It's also the home of top PWA racer Ross Williams.

You may have spotted across the water towards the west the Needles Light house and White cliffs over on the Isle of Wight. It's a sensational area for cruising with a raceboard, formula or big slalom board, although subject to some very fast currents.
