About an hour a go i heard the first set hit. and now its a constant rumble. 4-5M westerly swell is predicted and by the sounds of it. it's here. 4-5M westerly swell i haven't seen that yet. i can imagine its gonna be pretty big every where. most swells are south west and have to wrap to get into a lot of beaches. oh yeah this is gonna be good
Today didn't actually turn out to be that good. we were hoping to sail back of light house but the wind was pretty onshore and was choping the wave up heaps. we had another guy over here aswell who isn't realy confident in the surf. so we ended sailing greens and it was really really on shore and was pretty hard to get out.
Friday looks good on the forecast right now. so hopefully that happenes and we get some nice DTL conditions
Friday: West to southwest winds 30 to 40 knots, possibly reaching 45 knots about Cape Grim, easing to 20 to 30 knots later. Seas mostly 4 to 6 metres. Southwest swell 4 to 5 metres, decaying late. Saturday: Southwest winds 15 to 25 knots easing to 10 to 20 knots during the day and tending more westerly late. Seas to around 2 metres. Southwest swell decaying to around 3 metres.
