Like a complete ;;"&%, I left the valve screw done up on my board on the roof of my car and it blow up like a football . Now the base has delam'd a bit and bulges about 1/2 an inch. Does anyone know if this can be fixed. It's an epoxy foam sandwitch slalom board.

I 've got a mate Dave that is the specialist to get huge bubbles of delam.
He 's got a screw compulsive disorder.
Anyway his way, is to suck the skin back on by using a vacum pump.
Drill a couple of little holes near the bubble. Inject with epoxy (+ a bit of Qcell), put a sealed plastic on top of the area. Do the Vacum through the valve. Not too much as you might suck the resine into the foam, (but just enough to put the skin back on.
let the resine set with vacum pump on.
Done...Go sailing..
mm don't forget to pu tthe screw back on!!!!!

Yep there are two ways that I know of the first one is like leski says exept that the resin doesn't cover evenly as it's just rolled around in the board.
The other way is to cut out the delam area, paint resin over the foam then put in the vac bag (or weigh down with sand bags), after it's stuck down reglass the inside glass, reglass the outside glass, sand, primer, sand, paint, sand and buff up.

Thanks heaps guys. This all sounds waaay beyond my ability as I'm a software type not so good with the hardware Does anyone know a board builder/fixer in Melbourne I could send it to? And is it really worth it? It was an $1800 board when I got it 6 years ago, and in top condition (until a week ago).

Alternatively, anyone have a quality kevlar/epoxy 280 slalom they want to sell me?

Directone,

Ive got a 278 Bic Voloce that I am keen to get rid of. Clean and tidy for age, probably about a season or two younger than your now delaminated board (I did the same thing to my wave board - kind of mistake that you only make once!). Looking for around $300. Give me a call if interested 0414 505 501

Brettr,

I've never been a big bic fan really, except of course when I'm passing one, so I think I'll pass. Thanks anyway.

forget the resin option.... it will melt the foam from the heat of the reaction and just pool into a glob doing no good at all and just adding wait to your board... go to boardlady.com for an insight into the inside of your board and how to fix them ..specifically...
