Hey guys, you'z helped me in the past with equipment things, so here I am again.

I have this brand new old-design Windsurfer sail from Inginuity in Sydney (nice product, BTW). The sail is almost like the old ones, me use it for 10-15 knots freestyle and teaching.

Anyways, how do I fold this thing? Here is the problem: it seems to be made of the old Dacron-Mylar combo (perhaps the names have changed...). There are white-grey lines in the material, about half-inch apart. The lines are mostly vertical, except for the bottom part where they are horizontal.

Q1 is: what is that material?

Q2: how do I fold it? Anything I tried creates corners and folds, and like the old days, seems to damage in that area. It's too long to roll like my mono sails, plus the place where lines are against the roll don't seem to take it well.

I can't roll it around the mast because the considerable luff doesn't roll around, but creases all over length-wise.

Any ideas ?

I thinking if you are in the USA, and the sail came from Australia, it didn't get there rolled out flat or rigged up. How was it packed?

Can you post a pic so we know what you are dealing with?

you fold them kinda in half verticaly, should end up about the length of the top batten, then roll from the head cap down like a conventional sail, i think from memory the the monofilm backed cloth is only on the leach and not the foward panels so you don't end up with any folds in the monofilm..
