Mmm looking at that maybe I should get a sailmaker to take it out..I wonder if is worth fixing or just buy a new one if possible.I think I broke it derigging.
I find it really hard to get the cambers off that sail.
I let the downhaul off really slowly & a little outhaul until they pop off.I know this isn't ideal but I just don't have the strength to pop them off..The cambers were lying the wrong way so I pushed on it to pop it the opposite side halfway through that process so it would come off easier..Dur..

Won't do that again. I'll make sure it is popped the right way before I start derigging and I'll have to persist and see if I can find anyway to do it with my hands as they say..

I was going to use the sail tomorrow but I assume it could get worse?
The only way I knew was that someone pointed it out -There is a slit in the batten pocket where it broke. It wasn't under tension at the time so it looked ok.
Can you use other manufacturers battens to replace it or do I have to chase Severne? I hope I can get one that will fit as its an old sail but still in good nick.
