Although I am a windsurfing newbie, I wanna be an windsurfing instructor someday. Does anyone know the way? What (and where) courses should be taken and how many years of sailing experience it needs? Thank you
re - RYA instructor type courses. i too researched this a few years back and a friend who had completed a course lent me his folder full of info he'd studied from.
it doesn't appear anyone in australia (including insurance) recognises it, and it might be a waste of time, money and effort, apart from maybe upping one's basic meat/potatos sailing ability and basic understanding of wind / current etc, and meeting people.
has anyone who's done one found it an advantage in any way in australia (employment or insurance wise)?
this comment isn't referring to anyone posting here

but to be honest, if i was a windsurfing school and insurance was not affected by sailing qualifications, as far as skills are concerned, i'd be employing a 14yo who'd learnt some freestyle and who also had some common sense over the skill levels of people i've met who have done an instructors course
