It looks dead boring to me. Why not give the pool a miss and walk across to the ocean. In fact give the whole lot a miss and use the money to go somewhere nice, like Australia.
i agree - get some strong on shores and that would be an amazing speed run. Or better yet - set up some turbines along the full length and you never have to wait for the winds!
