unless you're into top end speed sailing I wouldn't worry so much about the mast, as long as it fits

That's interesting. I missed that post. I wonder how accurate it is. I thought Severne masts, after decomplicating their 7 point measurement system worked out to be 12% c/c. Wrong according to that graph.

I have a couple of Hellcats Phil. Lets rig one up and see how it feels when we are next gunna do a flat water stint. What year model are you looking at?

I think your Gaastra may feel better then your ezzys (on the ezzy mast) due to the inbuilt luff curve in your ezzys. You Gaastra prob feels lighter (cos it is) and flicks it's battens easier as it doesnt have the built in camber in the luff. This may give the illusion that it suits the mast better perhaps? dunno, lets rig her up today and have a look.

From that table the ezzy's seem to have one of the most acceptable masts around
