It's just been confirmed the helicopter will be back for Ledge to Lancelin weekend on January 12-13. The entire race will be filmed again from heli, so get entries in early to get up front on start line. Many thank's again to Peter from Heliwest for organizing the helicopter!

Have a look at windsurfingwa website, there's an event calendar there. Contact me for helicopter/photography info. Should be a huge weekend.

Hey that's great news! It's always fascinating to watch the race unfold from the aerial shots - especially at the start.

Will there be someone videoing and someone else taking stills?

Hopefully there will be a really big fleet this year as this race is the "Melbourne Cup of Windsurfing" after all.

For any one who hasn't done it before and is thinking about it, don't hesitate. You get the chance to sail up close with pro's like Pete Volwater, Jesper Orth etc (at the start anyway), and then no matter where you are in fleet, there is always someone just in front of you, and someone chasing you down.

It doesn't matter whether you are on the latest race gear or just some cruisy wave stuff, it's still a blast just to be part of it, and that's all before the real action begins at the pub afterwards!

This is greta news for Lancelins famous race. Lets hope the wind blows and we get another 100 competitors at the start on any type of gear just to be a part of it. Many thanks to the team @ Heli West and Peter

A hint for anyone entering the race; you can enter on the day, but start line positions are allocated in order of entry so for a good pozzie, it's best to enter now.

I can say that now, coz I entered in January!

Looks like the new WWA site has lost the NOR and Entry forms for LOC that were on the old site. Hopefully the guys can get it posted again soon! Last years results missing as well!!
