Any seasoned Hawaii travellers around? Some tips sought.
I am lining up a trip for around this time. Never been before. Guessing the flight in from Sydney / Melbourne (ideally) will be into Honolulu....
Is the main island for windsurfing Maui, or can there be good windsurfing conditions on the main island? Excuse my geography and spelling, no offence meant.
Guessing flights easy to come by for island hopping? I have mates who are non windsurfers but will give it a go on one or two days...... is the night life sufficient for a boys trip in Maui? We'd need some night spots of course......
Also gear hire? Hard to come by good gear? Need to take any at all???
Plan is Hawaii > Vegas > Hawaii......

Don't mess around, go straight to Maui.
By far the windsurfing capitol of Hawaii, lots of rentals and plenty of other things to do including nightlife.
Windsurfing is very limited on the other islands.
Honolulu is an overcrowded major city, Maui has more to offer in all regards.
You will want to stay in Kahalui.
