Any one who checks out the wind graph for Sydney Airport will see that I couldn't have wished for a better day to make my long awaited return to the water. (It's been almost 10 years). Classic NE sea-breeze, constant 18 knots gusting to 20+ from 3pm to 7pm.
For those who have been following my epic venture, (and who could have missed the nauseating number of questions I have placed on this forum), I ended up buying a new Tabou X-Rocket 105 and am very happy with it.
I will move the foot-straps out and back tonight to get a bit more pointing ability, and hopefully help my miniscule 64kg get over the chop a bit more smoothly.
Again thanks to all who helped get me on my way. Hope to meet you on the water.
is tabou is good. their boards seem to be good allround. i'm certainly enjoying sailing alot more since i bought mine. I think after a couple of seasons when the current generation filter down to the price a secondhand buyer is happy with, alot more folk will be having alot more fun alot more often. For 100litres even in the 30+ knot wind with the 30cm fin, it's a walk in the park. I haven't used my other boards in ages. Hopefully some of the other manufacturers will copy the designs.
