Now he is back on the NP team, Neil needs to drag Guy's coit down under and to run some of his special schools, here on West side and on East side. I for one, would be second in line behind you

If I won lotto & could travel one of these would be first on my wish list! If only he could come here but he'd have to hold it somewhere like WA as our area mightn't have any wind the week he came..

Cribby even booked out the islands tennis courts on the off chance there was no wind.. and called me Rod Stewart for some reason.. does that help?

Hi Barn - met you in the Gerroa carpark in late November, so I know what you look like.

I think the Rod Stewart reference may have something to do with your hair!

I'm prepared to take one for the team and find out; all I need from all of you is to send me some money to help with the flights to Egypt

Hi all- I've been sent this link from one of my Aussie guests- good news- I'll be in WA in Jan 2011 for some courses. Loose plan will be two long weekend courses- one in Perth on gybes/ waterstarts and general skills, one in Geraldton for entry level wave sailing, a tune up/ speed sess immediately prior to the Lancellin ocean Classic AND a Surf Gods tour of your incredible coast for all the days in between.

I'm about to start my years travels this wknd to Venezuela and as such wont be checking this forum again for at least a month! But please email me anytime [email protected]

I have a few contacts in WA who'll help get this show on the road, but if you can help at all then please kindly get in touch.

HUGE chance of a course in Melbourne too.

For the record, the earlier post in this thread by Rod Stewart is basically correct, except it was a football stadium we rented, not a tennis court!

I would definitely go on a Guy Cribb course and will be asking Santa next Christmas! Mum also needs help with her gybes.

I watch Intuition all the time and have communicated with him via email. He has helped me loads with my sailing and I can't wait to sail with him and meet him in person. We are sooo lucky he's coming! There is no one more professional and better at diagnosing and correcting your sailing. Please hold a place for me Guy!

Sorry Alex, but as Longwinded hinted at, it doesn't make sense. To be in WA in January 2011, Guy Cribb would have to be flying via WA to get to South America, and he only has a 3 or 4 days to do it in!

Getting in before the LoC also means that he has missed it, or it is much later in the year.

Who knows, he could even come to NSW and try it without wind...

If he held a clinic at Kyeemagh there would be a fair chance there would be decent wind.

What if i said I could bring Matt Pritchard out to run a clinic in NSW. Who would be interested?

I know he's not Guy Cribb - but then Guy isn't a 3 times PWA world champ either.

It had a great response, even though the conditions were very ordinary. Covered the basics, fight through to advanced - but believe it or not out of some 30 odd guys and girls some with 25 years plus experience and some with less than 1, no-one could step jibe!!!!!

He spent like 4 hours going through rigging - and helped everyone tune their rigs from sail tuning to board and fin and so-on - but we had a lot of slalom sailors and a few speed guys.

So all in all everyone got something out of it. the best part is that Matt go's with the flow so easily, that if people want to focus on one particular thing then he is happy to do that, or if one person is after a specific skill - he spends time with them to help them out.

Read the feedback on the Qld section re the clinic.

Hey, if you could organise the wind or try to be a bit flexible with the dates to suit the wind, I'd definitely want to sign up.

A tuning clinic would be a great part of a clinic and is a fallback if the weather is no good.

Mate big call for someone that wasn't there!!! You know not one person thought that it was hell, and all found that part of the clinic particularly helpful, especially considering that it was mainly in small groups with every single person's gear that asked for help.

Are you implying that the clinic was boring and/or unhelpful? Or do you think that having a beer with Guy Cribb would help novice and intermediate sailors improve more-so than learning how to rig and tune their gear??

Like i said - he helped people where they needed it, and most people did not know how to rig or tune their gear, or had been doing it wrong for 20 years or more. You only have to read these forums to see where people need the help in progressing to the next level, and more than one wants help with tuning.

But hey horses for courses. If we run it - don't join in.

Its a big call, I'll run a tuning and rigging demo in 15 minutes, especially when its windy, its not rocket science... But 4 hours just sounds like 'killing time', bet it wouldn't have gone that long if there was wind. Rigging demo, the oldest time killer in the book. I'm not disputing people weren't interested, windsurfers can be like the disciples listening at the Sermon on the Mount, absorbing hours of 'teachings' from their PWA Messiah. There are plenty of cheaper ways to learn how to rig your 1999 NeilPryde supersonic..

Thought this thread was about Intuition anyway and now your spruiking Pritchard (hopefully not for profit), then have a go at me for havin a dig at a 4 hour rigging demo.. I know Cribby is not 3 times world champion, but he is in his own class on running clinics... Gollito is 4 times PWA world champ, clearly no qualification to run clinics..
