I arrived at the beach today for a quick twilight session. Unpacked the car. No harness. Bugger! Too far to drive home.

There was one other windsurfer packing up. I took a chance and asked him (a total stranger) if I could borrow his harness.

He said yes.

Good karma vibes to rob Osborn. Thanks a bundle. Enjoy the carton of beer!

I was 2 kilometres from shore when I broke a mast. Paddling back was not going to happen and it was a good few km's downwind before I drifted to shore. It would have been a very late one indeed except a kiter came over and checked me out. He said no worries mate I'll go find a power boat to come get you. literally about 10 minutes later he comes back with a power boat following him. I was back on shore within half and hour of breaking my mast. I was so grateful I wanted to marry the bloke.

Busted a mast on the Swan. I was a long way from shore in steep chop. A power boat on its way home stopped to check on me, chucked my gear in and dropped me 10m from shore. They earnt massive karma cause every one of them was soaked by the time they dropped me off from banging into the short, sharp chop. Very grateful!

My friend was on the beach (in France) many years ago and had lost his fin.

He was given one by Robbie Naish, who happened to be nearby for an event.

Good karma for the big guy.

I bet that worried him. He was probably just angling for a good snog.

I borrowed a harness bar from scott fenton years ago. He left by the time I got in. I bumped into him years later, and I happened to have a spare by then. He looked kind of confused when I went up to him and handed him a spreader bar.
