Went for a late sail yesterday at Goolwa lake, but found we had missed the best of the wind. Dont think we could have sailed anyway as the level of the lake was so low from the big winds that you could have walked across to hindmarsh island!
I have never been able to walk around the end of the jetty at the cafe car park!
Did anyone else get out there, saw a few guys out when we rocked up, how did you go? Apparently it was ok Saturday?

Divaldo what direction was the wind coming from? I've been there when the end of the jetty was completely out of the water, but only once. Usually when i'm sailing from the aquacaf i use my dads board with a 50cm fin and have to walk out to the channel anyway. After about 20-30m or so, your out of the channel and in waist deep water again.
Quite often i sail around at the barrage where you can walk within 50 to 100m of hindmarsh island. You have to have a very small fin there though as it's very low and the weed is terrible. I've sailed there in about 25 to 30cm of water. I've found my best sailing there was when it was a hot northely breeze.
I won't be sailing for a while until our new board arrives after our recent accident with the old one blowing off the roofracks while i was out sailing. I'm prity sure when the board comes which my brother will mainly use, he will want to get it in the water straight away.
Anyway, hope to catch up with you soon.
