In lots of languages inanimate objects are gendered (either male or female).
I'm wondering what's the appropriate gender for a sailboard. They look somewhat phallic (except formula of course) but boats are typically female.

Any suggestions?

Well since all you can do with a windsurfer is ride it, it better be female.

I don't know about that.. I drink ~~with~~ near mine on occasion, yell abuse at it, leave it by itself in the car, or basement for extended periods (and it doesn't get upset or leave me), and I can trust my mates alone with it...

If your female lets you ride her in the basement I'd say you've found a keeper..

A windsurfer must be female as you can mount either on the mantle piece [}:)]

My board is moody and requires attention - must be female.

Seriously, it's female in the french language, only because windsurfing consists of 2 existing words, the first of which happens to be female. Nothing to do with the aforementioned riding comments.

Please Register, or first...
