Over the years I've had an onging problem keeping my feet in the straps when jumping. I have narrow feet which is probably partly to blame.

Over the years I've tried lots of stuf******eck pads with raised bits for the toes, tight straps, loose straps, screws close together, screws further apart, with varying success but nothing I'm super happy with. I've never managed to find that holy grail of instant grip when you clench/arch the toes and a reliable release when you don't.

Does anyone have any experience with particular brands of after-market straps that suit narrow feet, or a technique that might help??

any advice appreciated, I'll try anything.

use the holes closest to the edge of the strap. ie not the midle hole that everyone uses. it makes it kind of like a sandal. works for my long skinny feet. only on front straps though.

If you don't mind removing your existing deck pads you could try our Rampz Padz.
They are not made of EVA like the standard pads that come with modern boards, the material is a lot tougher and grips your feet better when wet.
It's the same material you find inside Gath Helmets.
They are shaped to suit your foot profile also.

It looks like F2 have changed to this material on the latest boards, my new Stoke has moulded pads, not machined grooves like other brands and it also seems to work better than EVA when wet.

put your strap over the footstrap screw holes in the board where you normally have them.. move the screw out of the middle hole in the strap to the hole on the inside edge(closest to centrle line of board) for the front and rear of the strap.. then screw them it back in.

Matt, Ideally you would replace the original Deck Pads & glue the Rampz Pads directly onto the board.


Decrepit, I don't think any shops stock the Rampz Pads but you can get them directly from us at the factory or we will post them out.
