Anyone got any good ideas for filling in US boxes when using a quad / single in single fin mode.

Tried the 104 home quad as a single in some borderline onshore reasonable size wave conditions - and has so much tail drag it stopped planing at the slightest drop in wind - felt like a bucket hanging of the back and there were 4 distinct turbulence trails at the back of the board

Any commercial or home made jobbies out there - there all shapers 8 inch boxes

I think I saw on K4s website that they sell blanks, I made some myself out of a plastic chopping board. It was the perfect thickness to fit into the slots, I just cut rectangles to length drilled a hole in the middle and secured them in place with the fin screws. I don't bother putting them in anymore as I don't think I can't tell the difference....But that's just me.

.....Tried tape but it came off every time.

Cheers.
