There must be some place around where you can hire them My dad has a car up there that i can use but it has no roof racks, so i am looking for a place where you can hire them on the beach..

there is gear hire at Eneeaba - just google it. If you stay there shouldnt be too far to just walk to corros. Accommodation there is cheaper than Corros too.

Also Australind had some epic conditions for you - definitely check that out.

You can hire at Lano and some shops (but veyr litlee gear at shops)..... dunno about Corro.

If you really can't bring your own gear and are here for a while, go Euro style and buy cheap secondhand then sell it when leaving.

How long, and when?

You two ought to meet up, share a few brewskis and talk about the good times you've had on Seabreeze together. That is what the interweb is all about.

Flipper, you could always freight your gear over...the guys from Canberra do it each year. When are you going, We'll be there in feburary for 5 weeks. Last year there was heaps of wave boards for sale over there for around $400 mark so that's an option then you just need a 4.7 and a 5.0 and you'll be set.

Cheers.

Lancelin is an hours drive north.
When I lived there for a season, I favoured North Leighton Beach, I think. That was 1996, so memory could be way off.
City Beach was good too, gnarly shore-break though. Cottlesloe is popular, but it has a difficult reef on the entry, which I crunched a few fins on.
North Leighton was definitely my favourite spot. (I think)

If flying even take one board, 2 sails, mast and boom. You get 5kgs extra sport allowance. Gear will be under 20 kgs leaves 5kgs plus carryon for clothes. I took to qld too easy.

If you stay at Eneabba like Reflex Films suggested there's heaps of loose chicks that love windsurfers but not teabaggers.

^^

Flipper, they are taking the piss out of you.

There are no chicks in Eneabba, just grain silos.

If you want chicks you gotta head a little further, just past Eneabba, the next place you will hit is Meekatharra. Plenty of chicks there and a thriving night life.

If you got time head one stop further north on the Joondalup line of the rail and spend a couple of days in Wiluna.

Why not send that dude that was asking about engineers your CV and see if you can get a plumb job at Oakajee and stay for a couple of years ?

You should post a full body shot of yourself in wetsuit with your windsurfer, just to get the WA ladies excited about you're arrival.

On a more serious side, I do remember stopping roughly an hours drive or more south of Perth for lunch, where there some some kind of inlet with loads of windsurfers and kiters. Fairly flat conditions with tons of wind.

Edit: Just had a look at Google Earth, guess it was a lot further than an hour; fairly sure it was Bunbury. Guess the locals may know what I'm talking about.

I'm not going to WA this year or next. I went there a couple of years ago and in the summer of 97/98 and had a great time.

Flipper there are plenty of girls in WA. I'm not sure if its still the case but there was a bit of a scene happening in Lancelin during summer where Perth girls would go up there for the weekend to have a good time with the tourist windsurfers.

Shhh! Don't let that secret out. Lancelin rocks and there are 4 girls for every guy and won't look twice at you if you are a kitesurfer.

Don't go south, there are no girls south.

You should open a book on how many chicks you pull - there's gotta be a market for those of us that don't follow AFL. Spread betting on age, nationality and ethnicity would add some spice - any idea on what a 19 yo, almond eyed Japanese beauty would pay? Any backers for 2 of em...? Come on Flip - bring it home son.

The best time of the year for sailing south of lancelin, when it blows its nuts off is from about May through to the end of September, in between the equinoxes as the sun is closest to the equator during this time.

During the late spring through summer you would want to base yourself north, from Eneeaba, through to Meekathara though it does get a little cool so make sure you pack a wetsuit, steamer or long arms short legs at least...

I don't think the "chicks" in WA are quite ready for someone of your calibre Flipper, I think you are too sophisticated (pronounced sof-is-tick-ate-ed)
