I tell my boss's I am going sailing

Had my previous boss trained the same way. He used to watch Seabreeze then come and tell me when the arrows went green
I could always escape early when that happened.

...oh, I have a doctors appointment at Seacliff at 3pm, might be an hour or so, OK if I go straight home form there?

Don't get me wrong guys i have a great boss who lets me off early all the time in summer even tho he looks at me strange.
The ordinary mortals just don't understand

Because you may need a certificate. See, my one is 100% un-verifiable. If the boss comes over later and the room is fine.... "Yep, glazier has been and the missus was workin her ring off to get the water out whilst I picked up the glass...."

however if you are too sick all day ppl do expect you to look sick if they bump into you ....

Excuse for sicky was the old migraine from the glare the day before

If the surf's good my boss won't be seen for half a day, and I'll be with him. If it's windy, he just says "have a good one". Our office admin lady has all sorts of excuses worked out for when the bigger bosses call and there's no-one there.

Hello Divaldo

Had a great time in Mauritius I sailed 12 out of 14 days. The conditions are great over there. The best place I sailed was Manawa which is a reef break about 2kms out to sea around 1/2 to mast high waves. There are some photo in the gallery.

I cannot wait to go back. Maybe next year!

i usually threaten to quit on the spot, it works if it's windy, i work in a windsurf shop, so my boss understands, works eazier if it's 20 plus and good surf..

had a new fridge delivered today, we knew it woulnd fit before it arrived. however, if we removed the skirting board, we knew it would fit. but left the skirt on just in case it did end up fitting.

so the fridge arrives and does indeed not fit. i am at work and the misses is at home, taking delivery of said fridge. she rings me first to say it doesnt fit and to say that she is going to remove the skirting board. i, however have the shed key. tools kept in shed, skirt stays on. (till i get home anyway . 20 mins later i get a second phone call from the misses saying she got the board off. "how did you do that?" i askes, surprised. "with an axe". she said. "oh no", i said. "boss, i had better go home to see what she has done." i said. so home i went, unloked the shed, put board on car and went sailing. in fact, i still havent inspected the damage. might go and do that...

Not exactly sure but i think if you take three or more days off work you need a certificate to say that you have been sick from a doctor.

If your at school and need like a week or more off, your meant to write to the head of house to ask for permission. Which i cant see the point in because as if they will say "no sorry you can go on your holiday" or something like that. At least thats how it's like with me anyway.
