It's a radz with bolt going into boogee UJ. I need to change the cup on it to a different type.
But I remember the old chinook ones used to be a pain also.
Assumably they use some type of loctite on the thread with them.
Why can't they all be easy like the nylock ones.

That dosen't look like it releases loctite though.

some of these can't be unscrewed but must be screwed all the way through and out the other side to undo them.

Pics would definitely help!
Most loctite stuff gives up if you heat it up - I have a butane pencil torch, and that cranks out the heat in a pretty specific direction. Specific enough not to set fire to the plastic cup anyway!
Cook the nut, then try the socket/pipewrench/vice technique while it's still hot.

Mkseven,
Unfortunately you will probably wreck the Uni getting the bolt out.
It is very hard to hold a uni without damaging it & they usually twist around about 6 turns before the bolt comes out, by then they are buggered.
Try boiling it fot ten minutes to release the locktite before wrestling it.
Then again if the cups buggered then it's probably time for a new uni as well, just chuck it!
When buying gear think about spare parts and ease of servicing & adjusting not just price and fashion.
Unis with bolts moulded in are more user friendly, you can always adjust them when the washers and cup wear and nylocs make life real easy.

As suggested the easiest method is:
buy a new one.
Not only is it less effort but you get the enjoyment of having bought something when you visit the store.

1st choice buy new one, if not as mentioned, heat's what unlocks loctitie, I use a soldering iron on the bolt to heat it. Haven't tried boiling water, if it works reduces the chance of heat damaging rubber/plastic around the bolt.
