i think he would be better off buying some formula kit, i have no problems sailing twice the speed of wind when it is lighter than 15 knots and i'm not a pro.

most the slalom guys up here that are fast are sailing twice the speed of the wind when it is over 15 knots.

Wonder what waterway they/he will test it on. be keen to see some test runs.
Wouldn't want to have a high speed prang, looks like it would be real ugly on the frame and wing

I think its more like a sailing craft than kites are. Its designed to stay ON the water whereas I feel kites should be considered in the same class as float planes, something that lands occasionally but is not a "boat".

Anyway thats my reason for not giving way
