I constantly seem to be reading some kitesurfer making stupid comments on the windsurfing forums & having never even looked at the kitesurfing forums i would be intrested to know if windsurfers are doing the same thing . I imagine there are people who read both forums & would be able to inform me of this. I personally dont understand why or the need to be acting like idiots on our forums if they dont even windsurf why would you be bothered even reading them .I dont kite surf so i dont waste my time on there forums . Please explain .

Don't sweat the little things it's kind of like the Ford and Holden thing. Most if not all the comments made have no real serious intent behind them it's just a bit of light hearted banter. I don't kite and i don't read their forums but if they decide to read ours then whatever. Some of them just like to niggle to get a reaction for a bit of fun so like the saying goes "take a teaspoon of cement and harden the f**k up".

Disclaimer: No serious intent behind the last comment

I have made a few comments on the "declining popularity of windsurfing" thread.

It's just banter... Id say 99 percent of comments are banter coming from kitesurfers. If they were serious, well obviously they are the onces who have the problem.

Enjoy the ocean on whatever water craft you choose.

Im hard enough thats for sure qldnarcra . i dont take any of it seriously or personally i was just wondering if windsurfers carried on like idiots also, because all the ones ive meet seem to be nice people . My 8yrold wants to kitesurf & at this stage i would have to say no for two reasons 1 he cant swim good enough yet .2 the only time i come into contact with kiters is on this forum & they seem like a bunch of d*ckheads .

I think its because we get showen so much love and respect when we post here

and you guys always kindly help with our spelling and punctuation. Thanks

And we get confused easily (well we are kiters) because there is usually lots of talk over here about kitesurfing and we think its the kiters forum.

Its all just banter, but a couple get really upset about it.

I said 'thats not a wind tent that's a kite'
'oh, ....... well it looks like a wind tent'
'well yes, OK lets call it a wind tent'
'can we go home now Daddy'
'yes if you like'
'look Daddy there's a man windsurfing'
'OK, come on lets go'
'no let's watch the man doing the windsurf'

It's just part of a forum exchange program, sometimes we pop up in your threads and goof off, sometimes the windsurfers pop over to the kiters threads and return the favour.

Besides we don't have a caption comp over there, and that's usually the funniest read around these parts.

Look daddy I call it a wind tent because I see different guys and mummy camping in it sometimes.....and it moves around a lot when they're in there. Daddy how come I look totally different than you??

When i'm in the windsurfing forum i feel like a straight guy in a room full of lesbians.

Good conversation and interesting take on things just no chance of them crossing over.

I don't think "invade" is the right word

More like shuffle over to the fence, have a peer over then shuffle away muttering about those rowdy kids and how we weren't like that in our day

Once I overheard from a jellypit in a pub in Auckland: "Mum, this jelly is cold".

True story.
