I am looking to get a new board and was considering a JP Super Sport 127.
I am an intermediate sailor and would like to have an inboard foot strap positions on my new board, which are not provided on Super Sport.
A couple of people told me that they saw others use some device to move foot straps inboard, which basically looked like a set of metal strips/rails attached to the board's existing outboard holes with screws, and then straps would be attached to these rails further inboard.
1. Is this something I could buy and where?
2. Does this setup upset in the kit balance in any way?
The reason I prefer to get a Super Sport over X-Cite Ride model is that I like the wider shape of SuperSport (74cm vs 70cm for X-Cite), which I think would be useful in my lake sailing in Colorado at 1mi above the sea level where I use 7-8m sails on a regular basis.
Thanks!

I think you are looking at the wrong type of board if you need straps more toward the centre...these board are designed for the outboard straps to be used to get maximun leverage over the fin..maybe look at some thing more aimed at having fun on or a freeride board rather than a full on blasting slalom board... as for " extendable metal strips" these sound more like potential "toe chopper offas".......bad idea me thinks...!

There's a description of how to make them, on Tom Chalko's "Mount Best" site.
