I've just picked up a new (to me) custom with 5 US box's. All my current side bites are slot box and I don't want to get more fins as I've already got slots, mini tuttles etc sitting the shed.

Has anyone converted their US box to slot or starbox by drilling and glassing in the grub screws. If so any tips? Thanks

No, not enough material in the side - its doable but won't last.

Replacement front tab that rivets on to the fin will convert it. They used to be not uncommon, hard to find now but somebody posted here a while back with a link??

Or, sidies in US box are avail, I have some that I'd maybe part with cos they're not that useful to most people - but would be to you!

Get some new k4 fins. Cheaper than 2nd hand G10 fins.

Cheers Mark - your point "its doable but won't last" sums it up I think. Thanks for the advice
