Old-style freestyle on a vintage board. Still fun in mild conditions though.

That brought back some memories. I remember learning to leeward rail ride my Bombora Trifin 'cos I was such a lightweight when I started. And all the bruises on the shins from when the T-piece mast base on the old Wally popped out 'cos you hadn't hammered it in hard enough.

Hey Tonto,

you're right the normal railride can really hurt thems shins. Or balls.

In some of my vids at www.youtube.com/profile?user=pierrec45, I've been asked why I wear shin pads sometimes...

I'm an Aussie stuck in inland north america. Ain't no waves nor even reliable wind here in thems parts, so I longboard and freestyle on yard sale cheap equipment.

Sticks out like dogs balls, but makes a point and is fun.

Cheers,
P.

The conditions are terrible, though; almost no wind and the added tension of being in a competition.

Real nice gibe on the Everole at the end of the routine too.
Nothing worse than off-shore wind for freestyle, well done.
