can you book ahead at Coro though?

sunset are old farts who are only interested in old fart grey nomads.. they had an absolut weapon of a manager there last summer, he would storm up to the camp kitchen at 10:30pm and order everyone to go to bed cause the old folk r tryin to sleep.. and the grounds keeper has a bad case of small mans syndrome.. 10 bucks a night for corros??!!! thats a jip aswell.. im gunna camp in the flippin street this year...

Nup, that's the draw back, but early in the season out of school holidays wasn't a problem

Price went up, Clary was very upset, while he was in town shire officers came out and changed all the notices, without telling him, when he returned there where a pile of the new money envelops on his doorstep, he then had to drive round the camp and explain to every body.

Sorry poida you can't book, and you can only stay 30 nights each year. If it's full when you rock up, it's back to town and pay full rates, unless you can temporarily camp off the main road somewhere.

As far as bikes go, as long as the speed limit is observed, can't see how they could stop you, there's also the beach.

Just make sure they understand there's no water or power, the toilets are chemical-drop, (but clean and don't smell).
There are shower stalls where you can hang up your own "store in the sun black plastic personel showers"
While the easterly blows the flies are bad, so take those hat mounted flynets.

There's only one big tree to provide shade, (yeah that's where hardy and I camped).

I'll post my googleearth gps tracks, resolution isn't brilliant, but it gives you an idea of the layout. The road has been bitumenised since this googleearth shot.

Yep, was going downwind to get speed then tacking back again, the lines that disappear off the top are where I checked up on a kiter who'd got his lines in a tangle.
you can also see my tracks to and from the campsite, (put the GPS on there), shows googleearth's slight inaccuracy.

No I was speed sailing!!! Fastest angle is supposed to be 140deg, don't know how close I got to that, but I was going a long way downwind, then having to work my way back up.
Yeah stacked a few gybes out the back, the one furtherest out, got washed by a set. Wasn't gybing very often on the inside, was checking that runs speed.

Not quite right Windy, the easterly extreemes are in waves big enough to get mast high jumps.
Guess everybody doesn't consider 32kn as fun, but it does get the adrenalin going all the same, especially when you hit those ramps!!!
