Nice work Julien!
Glenys will have some rainwater in the fridge for your arrival (bewwwwwdiful!!!), perhaps even some organic tomatos and radish.
The fridge freezes water when set at 3/4 volume, though never froze a beer - kept them bloody cold though!!!
There's a chinese/thai restaurant just before you hit town on Marine Tce (on RHS) which had great tasty grub, fresh fish shop and local butcher on Marine Tce were well worth a visit too!
Cheap coffee/cake combination across from Target entrance in shopping centre on Chapman Rd should get you some browney points with the wife too (remembering it was
very un-windy on my visit, I clocked up a lot of points!)
There's about 7-10 reef breaks (breaking in different directions - spinny!) within 200m around the point if you're into the waves, which were breaking half to mast high when I was up there remember
no wind!). There is thigh to chest deep water to the SW of the point which would have been a blast in prevailing SW breeze. Sails West right at the base of the lighthouse gave peace-of-mind should any hardware fail you - nice bloke too!!!
Some website crew swear by Coronation beach about 20km north of town on the NW Coastal hwy, with chest deep flat water and decent break.
Good winds to you and I really wish I could get more time off to go back!!!!!!
