Where can you get replacement battens for broken S2 6.4 07. Broke two while sailing 2-3ft in Robe and when I finally got them out they are hollow and snapped in several places

They are flat at each end with hollow 1cm round sections in the middle - spoke with a sailor last night and he said he broke his and couldn't find replacements?

they seem a little easy to break - wasn't much of snotting either

Dunno if there is anywhere in SA, but you can try the Severne Loft in Oz Park:
Tel (08)9446 6847.

I also broke a batten in my 6.4 S2 and they sorted it out for me on the spot (Might have to ship them in your case).

Cheers I'll give it a try - might not take it out in waves any more

Yeah well I know you are fixed up...but a little observation. I have seen a few brands of hollow battens and I reckon they are all the same. The ends can be taken out of the hollow part. I keep all my old battens from worn out sails and a few times I have done a bit of cutting and swapping and the results cannot be faulted.

Us landsailors rely on you good folks leaving them in when you throw the sails away.
We then recycle them in our landyachts.
I never throw away a batten cos you never , never know what the next gust will do[}:)]

Hi Russh

Can you email your maling address to [email protected]

Then I will post the battens for your S2 6.4 straight away, so you can get back on the water.

Best regards

Jesper
