Haha I bumped into that one yesterday and almost cried when I saw the thinners in the plastic tube trick for the removal of the old grip. Anyone who has removed boom grip with a blade will feel the same pain.

Yer this video was never ment to be on the net, but it may help out someone out if they want to take on. But it can go pretty wrong.

I can't believe Severne paid Brad Pitt to do their boom regripping video!

So what you are trying to say is, a professionally produced video, uploaded to a public video-hosting website (by the company paying for the video), with permissions set to "public" mode.... isn't meant to be "on the net"...?

I recently re-gripped my formula boom, felt confident after watching this video, followed the procedure and ended up with a great result. The job was far less painful then I initially thought before I saw the video.

Some great tips there, of which the thinners in the plastic tube is by far the best.
Any ideas on what to use if you don't have the plastic boom sleeve?
I'd still recommend stretching the grip a little as it goes around the curve at the front of the boom. It makes getting those gathers out a lot easier, especially if you don't have a heat gun.

Great production value on that vid - especially the sound.

I hear Nude also paid him for a board painting video! (but that could just be a rumour) But they did cast Tom Cruise for there board shaping video..

It was only made as an instructional for the industry for the Enigma series booms. Its easier to explain how to do something with a video then an email, there are others more entertaining like the sail tie one, also featuring the trusty yellow hammer. But this one got leaked by accident so everyone started to share it.

Wouldn't deliberately make a public video that reduced the amount of work some guys get for doing boom regrips.

In the end heaps of people had fun getting everything but new grip stuck to there booms so all good.
