I just read that 2 windsurfing mags are no longer going to be printed, The American base "Windsurfing" mag is gone completely and UK magazine "Boards" will be available as a digital magazine only and may not be monthly. That only leaves the one UK magazine "Windsurf" that I can read while sitting on the dunny, sitting there with the iPad just doesn't feel right.

Sad day.....

Sign of the times. Print in general are struggling due to the competition of the interweb.

Aren't ezines and websites the way to go? If you want to read on the dunny then print it out. You bear the cost of the printing, not the publisher.

Everyone wants to save the environment but everyone wants a printer on their desk and wants to read magazines shipped across the world.

You can read Whiteys 'thank you' over at his website..

Only Windsurf left now, I liked Boards because it was pretty much a Club Vass mag, although I never bought a copy I enjoyed flicking through it in the shops..

How's the knee going, are we going to see you back on the water this season?

Cheers Jase.

Haha.. Yep current affairs is spot on. Did you have Boards on subscription? because the ones in the news agencies seemed to be months old..

There is nothing like glossy pictures though, maybe you could take some brochures into the dunny..

They used to send Boards magazine by sea mail, that's why they were always a couple of months behind. Still a good read though.

Good point

I am satisfied watching youtube on my smartphone while on the dunny, in fact I consider this to be the pinnacle of mans evolution and I really cannot see what more we need to achieve.

Boards will bring out two 'collectors editions' a year. December was the last issue.
