Hey guys,

What determines the biggest sail for a particular board? I've got a 2004 JP Super x 82 L. According to the JP website the ideal sail range is up to 6.2 and the recommended range is up to 6.4. i'm thinking of getting a 6.5 with a short boom length and a 30cm fin. Do you think this would work on this board? i'm pretty light at 70kg.
i currently use a 5.7 Saber and a 28cm fin for this board which works great but need something to get me up and going in lighter winds.

Cheers,

Bdl.

Yes the 6.5 will work. I have a 2007 JP 86 super X and i used a north 6.8 ram and 32 slalom fin. Wouldn't want to go bigger though, a 6.5 V8 and a 30/32 fin would be sweet.
