Does anyone have any sails and a mast for a young beginner? My son is 12 and showing some interest in learning to windsurf. I'd like to make his first go pretty easy and he won't go for lessons ...yet. He may after he has had a try and had a little success. Here's hoping.

I recently bought 5 year old the Ezzy rig package. Good for beginners. Includes 2 sails and the whole rig, right down to the foot/extension ...thingy.

Circa $500 for the small rig.

I couldn't find any second hand gear either.

Thanks evlPanda. The $500 is a bit steep for me right at this moment but it's worth looking into if the gear I have turns out to be too big. I've cut down a boom I have already and will put the smallest sail I have on the 430 mast I have. Hopefully he will be able to uphaul it. The sail size isn't marked and I can't be bothered getting the tape out to try to determine how big it is...but it's pretty small. I am kicking myself as I saw a kids rig at the recycling centre awhile back but never thought I'd have a need for it and didn't buy it.
Cheers Nick
