Hi there, there's local Scouting group that has a Mistral Pandera from 1991. It looks like it has been sat there in their shed gathering dust since Charles and Di were still married. I don't think that it has the dagger board nor a UJ either, but apart from that it is all intact. I was wondering if anyone had any ball park figure that I should offer the group for this board?

I saw a Mistral 'One Design' board down in Inverloch for $600 that was from a similar era, but that was fully complete, plus the race boards tend to up hold their prices too.

I was going to offer $200, what does anyone think? Am I being a Scrooge, or do you think I need my bloody head checked.?

I am 52 years old and I just thought that one of these days on a light wind day I will be glad that I had it. I am sure that my wife will roll her eyes and this may take me one step closer to a divorce; but at least the 33 year old girl (that's the board, not my wife) may see some use in the near future.

I will attach a photo of an identical one that I have found on the web to jog peoples' memories what one is.

Thank you for anyone's input in this matter

$50 if it comes with the uni and centerboard. Otherwise it will be hard to get it working. With a newish model rig, at a minimum it may require mods. Footstraps may also be weak from age.

that said.

Funboards like this can be a lot of fun to sail. It's all about perspective

Thanks Gestalt! Appreciate your feedback, I think that the standard race board UJ can still be bought these days, otherwise this is going to be a no go zone for me! I still may get it without the centreboard and just have to accept a lack of upwind performance! Thanks once again for your reply!

CB is a must, deal breaker!! You may need to get a nut machined to fit the bottom of UJ for it to work. Modern rig will be fine too I have an OD for free (WA) that needs a little TLC, I should actively advertise it to move it on.
