I was down at Elwood on Saturday morning teaching my girlfriend to windsurf when she fell off in waist deep water 15m out near the submerged rocks (between the old ramp and life savers). She landed on some glass that left her with a deep gash near the ball of her foot that needed 7 stiches.

As she was a bit hysterical and had lost a lot of blood I had no time to de rig – so a massive thank you to Carl who gave me his business card and watched over my gear with the intention of taking it home with him if I didn’t return before he had had enough. I was able to return some 4 or so hours later and collected my gear.
