It's going to be 5 knots tops, and snowing.

(my predictions usually run at around 10% accuracy)

Here's hoping anyway.

Hey Gestalt, did you have a beer with Huey on the weekend or something? Or did Vando ding his warpy?

It better be good tomorrow. I've got the day off work, the kids back to school, and I've got the car for the day.

Over 3 million people live in Sydney, and today was a classic southerly, steady 20-25 knots, gusting to 35. Yet I counted only 5 sails and 2 kites at Dolls Point. Can't help but think society has lost it's way.

Maybe they were indulging in that other crazy hobby called "work".

Harrow - I'd rather be windsurfing than working!! But I guess I need to work so I can buy my kit, run a car and eat - it's a catch 22!

hey Harrow, I drove past Dolls Point around lunch time I saw only 3 guys were you one of them?
I was on my way back from checking out Wanda, pretty good size wave but the wind had dropped during the rain so came back home as dry as I left to continue the second hobby like Boris said

Were they any little waves at Dolls Pt later on? I'm hoping that maybe tomorrow the swell will be big enough to get little waves down there (and hopefully that the wind'll stay)

leski, I was there from 11:30 to 1:30. The ride coming back was very choppy. Southerly wind swell rose and fell with the wind, but nothing actually breaking on Dolls Point itself. It was actually quite flat close in (due to the West in the wind) which made for some fun speed runs into the beach. Had one huge wipe out while trying to take off from one swell but then crashing into the next one on landing. Made me think I better start looking at helmets. Had to get out when I could no longer feel the fingers on my left hand - had to waterstart with my harness already hooked in cause I just couldn't hold on any longer.

Boris, that's why you should never mention sailing to your boss. Makes every 'sickie' that coincides with a "strong wind warning" look very suspicious.
