Well we finally got a little wind today - not much but enough to get a couple of us keen to hit the water despite the temperature hovering around 15 degrees.

As usual, Red didnt want to be first on the water - he seems to have an aversion to rain - so it was up to me to slog it out for a while.

Conditions started to improve

Eventually the wind picked up a little so it was a quick change of sails and out again. As you can see, Red was happy to be out now the rain had stopped.

Despite the leg cramps and numb fingers, was quite a pleasant day

Yeah I got a late one in this afternoon to sundown at Mornington. The wind was looking dodgy on the internet so took my formula board and 8.5. Had to go a good 1.5kms out to find some decent gusts to get me up but was worth it after such a long break.

That Red sounds like a pretty whimpy character

Nah thats me lol. I just like to trash talk a bit cos he is a much better sailor than I am. I figure that it may distract him a little and slow him down

Nice pics OB64.

I also managed a sail yesterday had the day off so made the long trek down to Inverloch by myself and sailed for about 3 hours in 14-15kt SW. One other guy out, both of us planing nicely on 7+ metre sails.

Got out yesterday afternoon...wind had dropped by then, even with my 7.5, no good.

Looks like you guys had the good stuff!

C'mon next Wednesday!!!

Hey Geoff

The camera is just a Canon EOS 350. Not the top of the range but takes a reasonable picture for a hack like me. Must learn how to use all the settings one day lol.
