A dominant display by WindWarrior Team Rider Luke Johnson KA86 has seen the 17 year old earn a coveted spot in the worlds most prestigious wave sailing event, the 2005 Hawaiian Pro to be held at Maui's infamous Hookipa Beach Park.
Competing in the Jeep Hawaiian Pro lead up event, Luke needed to finish near the top of the table in order to earn a wildcard entry into the PWA event. Displaying the fluid wave ridding style and aggressive aerial antics that have seen the youngster shoot up the New South Wales and Australian rankings, Luke was undefeated in every one of his heats. Former World Number One Jason Polakow was on hand to see his fellow Australian's performance, slapping a congratulationary hand across Luke's back in a signal of 'well done and welcome' into the PWA.
All the crew at WindWarrior are ecstatic with the news and wish Luke all the very best success in this, his first PWA event. WindWarrior is proud to have Luke on board as a Team Rider and look forward to continuing the support and association we have shared with this likeable and talented teenager well into his professional career.
